Where are you located?
We are excited to announce we are currently at Driftwood Day Camp! 331 Mt. Misery Rd., Melville, NY
Does my child need to attend camp there?
No, all are welcome to participate at The Social Lab.
Do you accept insurance, EI/CPSE/CSE cases?
Not at the current moment. But that doesn't mean never!
How do you design your groups for social skills groups?
First we receive forms of interested students. From there we set up a phone call and questionnaire to pre-screen. If it's a good match for all of us, we will proceed to place your child in the appropriate group.
Can parents be involved with social groups?
We LOVE when families are involved because we know that helps promote carryover. Caregivers will attend a Caregiver Collaboration session happening at the same time of the social group. You'll meet the families of the students in your child's group and form a community of support, all while learning strategies to use at home. In addition, after each social group session, an e-mail will be sent home summarizing the session, language used and ideas to do at home to incorporate the skills.
Can I sign up for individual social skills therapy?
Yes!
